Through my artwork, I strive to capture the emotions and spirit I sense in the faces of this country's native people. Inspired by historical photographs and American Indian art, as well as, Native American paintings, my paintings and giclee prints are considered as Western and Southwest decor. Although Southwestern home decor typically includes Indian paintings, Native American portraits and Native American art. I do not wish to limit my work to an association with Southwestern art or Western home decor only, because my Native American graphics depict universal sentiments experienced by us all. Still, whether people choose to label it as "Southwest art," or "Western art" my work is indeed to me, a soulful, spiritual art that seeks to tell a story of the pride, beauty and harmonious nobility of the Native American spirit.
